FEED STARTS WITH THE ANIMAL
Different animals.
Different nutrition.
Explore livestock, their feed ingredients, and the evidence behind nutrient availability.
Composition is only the start.
Energy, amino acids, phosphorus and fiber utilization depend on the animal and the feed’s processing.

Composition & utilization
Source percentages retain their own denominator. “% PDI” is an amino-acid share of intestinally digestible protein; it is not an ingredient digestibility coefficient. Source table means and observed ranges do not describe every batch.

Growing the ingredient library
Added dehydrated alfalfa, barley, oats, wheat bran, dried beet pulp, dehydrated grass, wheat straw and 70% protein fish meal. The existing maize, soybean meal, peas and sunflower ingredients also retain separate animal reference tables here.
Fresh alfalfa, alfalfa hay, haylage, grass hay and maize silage need their own analyses and processing identities. They are research priorities, not aliases for the dehydrated entries. Duckweed, pumpkin, potato and hemp retain their existing analyses in the ingredient library; additional species utilization still needs extraction.
